Improvements in 2.0.21

Timer:
· days of week are displayed formatted
· days of week are also displayed even when the next episode of the programmed
EPG series is still not available

EPG - selection of other time periods:
· Possibility to browse inside EPG by using the keys ">>" and "<<".
By doing this browsing you can skip to the next or to the previous telecast
of the selected program. The telecasts of the other programs are
chronologically synchronized.
Example:
During Live-TV press EPG and put cursor on a program. Then press >>
and the next telecast of the selected program will be displayed. All other
telecasts will be chronologically synchronized
· Possibility to browse inside EPG by entering a time offset in hours relative
to current time position displayed in EPG. The telecasts of the other
programs are chronologically synchronized.
Example:
During Live-TV press EPG. If you want to know what will be telecasted in 12
hours press keys 1, 2 and afterwards >>.
This relative jump will be done from time the EPG information is being
displayed and not from the current local time

Playback:
· relative jump during timeshift or playback
During timeshift or playback press pause "||" and then enter a time offset in
minutes relative to the current time position followed by ">>" if you want to
skip forward or "<<" if you want to skip back.
A jump forward will automatically be done when the duration between the entry
of following digits is more than 2 seconds. So if you want to make a jump
forward you only need to enter the minutes without ">>". After 2 seconds the
Gigaset M740AV will automatically jump forward.
After the jump the playback will restart at the chosen position

Switch of programs:
· When activating a program not only the program number and channel will be
displayed but also the current telecast and additional the start and stop time
of this telecast


Deletion of recordings:
· when a series recording is selected you can select if you want to delete the
whole series or only the latest episode
· when an episode of an series recording is selected you can delete only this
recording

Medialocator:
· Possible to play "only selected file" or "all files sorted" or "all files
random" within a directory.

Program sort:
· program numbers are displayed

Sleep timer:
· During live-TV the function of the red button is changed to "Sleep timer". You
can select different times and can also disable the sleep timer when it was
once activated

SW Update:
· Timer entries and playlists will be saved and restored after SW update. This
feature will effectively work only when SW 2.0.21 was installed. So for future
SW updates timer entries and playlists will be restored

USB devices:
· 2 USB harddiscs or memory sticks are supported
· support of USB harddiscs with integrated HUB

* IMPORTANT: Due to this you have to select the recording folder after the SW *
* update again because the name of the USB device was changed from USB-HDD to *
* USB-HDD-1 or USB-HDD-2 *
* Check also your playlists because they are also referring to USB-HDD *

For FTP usage: Name and password for both devices is usb1 resp. usb2

DVB-T Radio:
· DVB-T radio is included. To select between TV or radio you have to go to EPG
menu and by using the yellow button you switch between TV and radio programs
· To sort DVB-T radio programs you have to use the blue button within program
sort menu

UPnP client interface:
· first implementation of UPnP client interface. To enable UPnP go to Menu ->
Settings -> Network -> UPnP Client
This feature will be improved in next beta version


wow, da ist ja ordentlich was drin. UPnP Client, Browsen im EPG, SleepTimer, DVB-T Radio, 2 USB-Laufwerke, die Jungs haben ordentlich Gas gegeben!!!

erstaunlich das der Sprung in der Versionsnr so klein ist - ich hätte mindestens eine 2.3 dafür 'rausgehauen ;)

Endlich auch Random Play im Media Locator. Werde später mal checken, ob die Funktion auch "intelligent" ist, d.h. ob er ein File erst dann das zweite mal spielt, wenn er die Liste einmal durch hat.
Mein DVD-Player z.B. ist da eher "dumm" und spielt mir x-mal Song2 aber (fast) nie Song3 vor :-/

Na ja, von 2.0.2 bis 2.0.21 sind's immerhin 19 Schritte. Ich denke, das Ziel ist eine release Version von 2.1.0 oder kurz darunter.

Aber auch von mir jetzt mal das Feedback, daß die Menge der Features und auch der Bugfixes schon beeindruckend ist.
