Anyone is working to support in TVersity the Siemens's .fmpg format?
Will be very interesting to provide all our recordings via FTP to others uPNP clients (with or without transcoding). The only chanllenge is add support for reading .fmpg .mpg .midx and .idx files created by the Gigaset.

Afaik the only UPnP-server running on the box is TwonkyVision (http://www.twonkyvision.de/UPnP/download-trial.html) (TVersity is Windows-only!). So if you want to watch your recordings on a PC in your UPnP-LAN, you have to buy Twonky-Vision and install it on the box (i.e. your external hard drive or a network drive). There is a free demo (see link above), but it terminates after 10 minutes - hardly enough to read a somewhat extensive media collection on a USB-HD... Furthermore, I haven't got the slightest idea whether it supports the meta data created by the M740AV.
Alternatively you could use MPlayer on your PC - it supports FTP. Support for MPlayer is included in the current Cridmanager test version (http://krumnow.gmxhome.de/cmtest//cridmanager-1.3.3-test-20060122.zip) - it's much more comfortable to browse the recordings than to handle cryptic filenames on the command line ;) . I guess that's rather close to what you want - you'll get a list of recordings and you can watch them by simply clicking a button. However, this isn't UPnP-related at all.
Yet another alternative is the approach suggested by Kille on the German pages of this forum (see link below). He has written a browser-plugin and an extension for the web-interface provided by Lemmi's firmware which allows you to watch recordings in a browser window. However, <imho> this appears to be a bit experimental, so you'd better understand this thread (in German) (http://www.m740.de/forum/showpost.php?p=41794&postcount=29) in order to avoid disappointment.
Hope that helps.
