I am currently using the 1.50.6 official Siemens firmware, and want to try the latest beat 2.00.43. For some reason when I try to install the new firmware I get a message saying that the software is not valid. Has this happened to anyone else here, and is there a way around it?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

When sure, try the "hard reset": unplug/plug the power cord 4x and a special menu will appear. You can install the new firmware from USB devices or via tftp.
Good luck!

Hello Mike,
are you sure you got the original version? (directly from siemens/now portal)
This error message usually appears if you try to install a non-siemens version, e.g. the lemmi-version.

I downloaded the file for the Siemens/now portal, so I assume that it is an original version. I'll try the rest routine though ans see what happens. Thanks

another solution: upgrade the firmware from an usb-stick or from a usb-harddisk with a new formatted (by the box) file system. After the firmware version 1.18, the box have trouble with used fat-partitions, so that the recognition of the firmware can be failed.

I'll try that, however, fate has dealt a somewhat crueler blow in the meantime as my TV just broke. Arse.....

I've now plugged it into a tiny portable tv and installed the new 2.00.48 firmware without any of the problems that I had with the previous two firmwares. Thanks for the help
