Hi,

I found several references to cridmanager in this czech forum, so I guess that the M740 and Cridmanager are known in Czechia. Is any czech user active here? Perhaps we can organize a czech translation...

Certainly there are m740 users in CZ. I know at least one of them, we bought m740 in Germany, but this device is also marketed by eshops locally.

I use CridManager together with ProjectX, but personally I am happy with english version.

I would rather appreciate support of eastern code page (ISO8859-2 and/or 6937) in m740av but I am afraid this is another story.

For the support of ISO-8859-2 (btw: what is 6937?): is this the code mapping of the czechian EPG? Can you send me some CRID files using this. I'll have a look into it, then.

Hi Karlo,
Recently I found in the Czech forum one new attempt how to implement right code page and change the unreadable text (in Teletext, EPG, ..) to readable. I must confirm that I've applied the procedure in my reciever and it is working decently.

but it is czech pages. Shortly there are 2 modified files and it is necessary to overwrite the original ones.

ISO 6937 is / according to DVB norm / default code page for European languages. Pls find more details on

By some DVB-T project people in czech broadcasting corporation Czech TV should follow this recommendation.

BTW: I am using your tools together with ProjectX too and it does my work more comfortable (except name of film titles ) .

I see the picture. Will take some time, but should be no bigger problem.

What astonishes me is that all description is in the genre part of the crid file, not in the description part, which makes it a bit difficult to read within CM... Is that normal in cz?

thanks for the reply.

DVB-T officially started in cz only three months ago (after a year of testing). Perhaps it improves in the future ... but during testing period there was almost no EPG (usually only timing so I used Crid to enter information to the program already recorded). From this point of view we are progressing ...

Hi,

I checked VencaN's files with Criditor. It didn't work because the first crid file seems to be kind of corrupt. In addition it's bigger than 20kb, the maximum size Criditor can handle (most files are not even bigger than 1kb).

Using CRIDITOR for CZ crid files I am getting the same results as with CridManager, for instance, movie name is shown as TÏri vejce do skla instead of Tři vejce do skla (see my zipped files earlier)

so Criditor also does not support ISO 6937.

I must tell that I haven't used the tool (CRIDITOR) yet (because there isn't a Czech localization for M740 and EPG still doesn't work properly). It is true that bad names of movies are created by the CridManager, but if movies are proccessed I will fix names manually. I am affraid that both tools aren't supported the Code page, it is the main reason why Karlo wants to get them and fix(improve) his tool.

Voila.

And of course you have a lifetime responsibility to add new messages for new versions :D

I would like to ask you for something.
Does any Czech developer website exist ? I find out that some websites exists with some "czech improvements" for m740 but I didn't see any portal where I can find all-in-one (czech locale for various tools, possible localizations for firmware, etc.).

I have some idee to start the czech developer group.
The possible activities for this group are:

1) collect and create the czech locale patches
2) release czech version of the firmware (base on lemmi firmware)
3) other czech localization activities :-)

What are you thinking about this ?

CM 1.4.0 will have czech EPG support.

And VencaN did a czech translation of the version, but he seems to be offline now (perhaps on vacation) and I'm in an urgent need for twor more phrases to translate:

Keep tree and detail view synchronized
Ensures the selection synchronisation between the tree view and the detail view.


Perhaps some other guy will be so kind to translate this into czech.

Please bear in mind that the translation of simple message is not easy. I do not know the terms already used, so if you use my translation, there might be inconsistency.

Perhaps you can check the translation of the message Size of tree view icons (Settings/general). Tree view is Stromový náhled in my translation.

Another way is to send me new version with the translation already done (or the set of messages with the translation), so I can fit it to the terms already used by Venca.
