Hi all !
Since i don't understand well german (sorry :) ), some things remain unclear for me about the M740.

I would like to now if it is possible to get a live tv stream from the box tuner to the network AND to remote control the tuner from network, all this WITHOUT pvrpilot ? if so what is the transport protocol used ? where can i find infos on that, since the streaming page on the wiki has been removed ?

would it be possible with a modified linux on the box to get full tuner control, and full dvb-t stream from tuner ? are there any gpl linux drivers that support the m740 hardware (tuner/decoder/video output) ? or are the system devices documented ?

thanks for your answers, tschüß !

Hi, as far as I know, the official FW does not permit the things you mention without PVRpilot.
However, there is a very interesting project to use VDR on the M740. Its developers can be contacted here (http://www.open7x0.org/).

Best regards, ao
